Frosted & Decorative Window Film
Where reflective film gives daytime privacy, frosted gives it all the time, and it does so while keeping the room bright, because the light still comes through, just diffused. It is also the finish people choose for looks rather than privacy: banded patterns on a partition, a plain white balustrade, an etched-glass effect at a fraction of the cost of etched glass.
Frosted window film gives permanent, round-the-clock privacy by diffusing light instead of reflecting it. Unlike mirror film it works equally well by day and after dark, which makes it the correct choice for bathrooms, pool balustrades, glass partitions and any glazing overlooked at night.
Privacy that does not switch off
This is the honest difference between frosted and mirror film. Mirror follows the brighter side and reverses after dark. Frosted diffuses, so it behaves the same at midnight as at midday. For a bathroom or a pool that is overlooked in the evening, that distinction is the whole decision.
It also keeps the room light. A frosted pane still passes daylight, which is why it beats obscure glass, blinds or a curtain in a small bathroom.
Decorative work
The same material does design work: horizontal banding on a glass partition, a white frosted balustrade around a rooftop pool, a full-panel finish on a shower screen or an entrance door. It is applied to the glass you already have, so a partition can be changed later without touching the glazing.
Common questions
Can you see through frosted film?
No. Shapes and light pass through but there is no usable view in either direction, which is exactly what makes it right for bathrooms.
Can it be cut to a pattern?
Yes, banding, borders and panel designs are all straightforward, and we cut to the glass on site.
Is it suitable for outdoor balustrades?
Yes, and pool and terrace balustrades are one of the jobs we do most often on this coast.
