Glare is the complaint people put up with longest because it feels trivial until you try to work through it. A home office facing the sea, a showroom with a full glass frontage, a lounge where the television is unwatchable from four until seven. Film fixes all three without dropping a blind and losing the view.
Anti-glare window film cuts the intensity of direct and reflected sunlight so screens stay readable and rooms stay comfortable to sit in. It is the right product when the problem is not heat but light, a monitor you cannot see, a television washed out every afternoon, or a room that is simply too bright to use.
When glare is the real problem
Heat and glare usually arrive together, but not always, and the fix is different. If the room is comfortable but you are squinting, a lighter grade aimed at glare is the efficient answer. If the room is also hot, a solar grade handles both at once.
We look at which it actually is on the visit, because fitting a dark solar film into a room that only had a glare problem makes the room gloomy for no reason.

Less than a solar grade. The point is to take the harshness off the light rather than remove it, so we pick the lightest film that solves the problem.
Is it the same as solar film?
Related but not identical. Solar film targets heat; anti-glare targets light. Where both are a problem we fit a grade that handles both.
